Artist’s Statement 

Viewers may think my fictitious character, Miss Tiara Ringrose, could be a portrait of my alter ego?  Her appearance is based on mine, exaggerating the features which I consider to be my defects of beauty.  I add to her form, extra contrasting attributes and persona, spiced with my imagination, to take on whatever context I am expressing.  Tiara reflects my views on social topics or reveals autobiographical events and memories.  My works radiate amusing and melodramatic qualities while bestowing underlining truths.  People, particularly women, may identify themselves with Tiara.  I want her to bring us thoughts and emotions, as well as laughter.  Life and our planet are what we make it!!
